**WWE Legend AJ Lee Reacts to ‘Daughter’ Roxanne Perez’s Attack on CM Punk**

WWE icon AJ Lee may be retired from in-ring competition, but she recently found herself at the center of attention after responding to “daughter” Roxanne Perez’s shocking attack on her husband, CM Punk.

The incident occurred during a recent untelevised WWE live event in Manchester, England. Punk was competing in a six-man tag team match against Judgment Day members Finn Bálor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh when Perez unexpectedly got involved. With Raquel Rodriguez distracting the referee, Perez entered the ring and hit Punk with her signature Pop Rox move.

Perez later shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Lee with the message: *“Hi mom.”* Lee, never one to miss a witty comeback, rushed to her “daughter’s” defense with the playful response: *“My daughter has never done a single thing wrong in her entire life.”*

The connection between Perez, Punk, and Lee runs deeper than this lighthearted exchange. Perez has openly credited Punk as one of her mentors, even revealing how he encouraged her to ignore negativity from online critics. She has also remained close to Lee, just as former WWE star Cora Jade once admitted she hoped either herself or Perez could convince the former Divas Champion to make a comeback.

That return hasn’t happened. AJ Lee officially retired from WWE in April 2015 and has since resisted stepping back into the squared circle. However, she has stayed active in wrestling through other ventures. In 2021, she joined *Women of Wrestling (WOW)* as an executive producer, a role she held until August 2023. Lee also appeared in the second season of the wrestling drama *Heels*, expanding her presence beyond WWE.

During her storied WWE career, Lee became a three-time Divas Champion, with her third reign lasting an incredible 295 days—a record at the time. She famously lost the championship to Paige the night after WrestleMania 30, in Paige’s main roster debut. Having started her WWE journey in 2009 with Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) before moving to NXT and then the main roster in 2011, Lee carved out a legacy as one of the most influential women in WWE history.

Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez continues her rise as one of WWE’s brightest young stars. Currently a member of Judgment Day, she stepped into the spotlight alongside Raquel Rodriguez after replacing an injured Liv Morgan as one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Their reign lasted 33 days before they eventually dropped the belts to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.

While AJ Lee may no longer compete, her influence still resonates in WWE—both through her past accomplishments and her ongoing connection to rising talents like Roxanne Perez.
