SKY FORCE - HISTORICAL WAR FILM TRAILER REVIEW
"Sky Force" is an upcoming Hindi-language historical war film directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, with production led by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, alongside Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.
The film features Akshay Kumar in the lead role, portraying Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, a character inspired by real-life Indian Air Force officer O.P. Taneja. Joining him is debutant Veer Pahariya as T. Vijaya, a role based on pilot Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, with Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur playing their respective spouses.
Set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, "Sky Force" delves into India's first and deadliest airstrike on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase. The narrative aims to honor the valor and sacrifice of Indian Air Force personnel during this pivotal historical event.
Principal photography for the film commenced in May 2023, with shooting locations spanning various parts of India and the UK.The production wrapped up in April 2024 after a 100-day schedule.
The film's music features compositions by Tanishk Bagchi, with the background score by Justin Varghese. The first single, titled "Maaye," was released on January 8, 2025, offering a soulful tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers. A second single, "Kya Meri Yaad Aati Hai," followed on January 11, 2025, celebrating the memories of the nation's heroes.
"Sky Force" is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 24, 2025, strategically timed to coincide with India's Republic Day celebrations. This release date positions the film to resonate deeply with patriotic sentiments, offering audiences a cinematic homage to the nation's military history.
