The 1980 drama movie Maang Bharo Sajana was written and directed by T. Rama Rao. It was produced by A. Purnachandra Rao under the Lakshmi Productions label. Jeetendra, Rekha, Moushumi Chatterjee, Kajal Kiran, and Laxmikant-Pyarelal provide the film's leading performances. The movie is a remake of the 1979 Telugu movie "Karthika Deepam." This was one of four movies that T. Rama Rao, Jeetendra, and Rekha directed that focused on married couples. Commercially, the movie did well. Rekha received praise for her portrayal of the other woman.
