Josef Kubota Wladyka is an American writer, director, and producer who is most known for his thriller Catch the Fair One, which he wrote, produced, and edited. Reis, Daniel Henshall, Tiffany Chu, Michael Drayer, Lisa Emery, Kevin Dunn, and Kimberly Guerrero are the actors who appear in it. The story centers on Kaylee, a young Native American woman and ex-boxer who deliberately joins a sex trafficking organization in an effort to locate her missing younger sister. The movie premiered in February 2021. The story and acting received high appreciation from critics who praised the movie. For Best Female Lead at the 37th Independent Spirit Awards, Reis was nominated.

Former boxer and Native American Kaylee is now an addict who works as a waitress and lives in a shelter. Weeta, Kaylee's younger sister, was abducted and brought into a sex trafficking ring a while back. She is one of the many young girls who disappear each year—hundreds of them. Since then, nobody has heard of her. Kaylee hasn't given up looking.

After discovering a tip on Weeta's whereabouts, Kaylee encounters the head of a nearby trafficking organization. She is drugged and masturbated in front of her while being photographed, and she is told that a man seeking to purchase a "Native girl" will be contacting her.

Bobby is the child of Willie, the boss of the ring. Bobby ties Kaylee up, puts her in chloroform, and then he takes her to the buyer's house. She finds herself all by herself in a cellar, and she cuts herself free with a razor blade she had tucked beneath her tongue. Bobby reveals that he knows what she is attempting to accomplish and that she will never find her sister once he and the buyer arrived. As the buyer is ready to rape her after he leaves the room, Kaylee takes out the razor, kills the man, and flees. In order to dispose of the deceased body, Willie and his team show up. When Kaylee gets back home, she hides in Bobby's car. She orders him to leave after witnessing Willie assault Bobby.

Bobby visits his wife Linda and kid Junior at home. When he exits the room, Kaylee comes into the house, ties up his family, and covers their lips with tape to prevent them from shouting. When Bobby returns, a fight breaks out, with Kaylee using her boxing skills to take the lead. Kaylee ties him up and asks him questions about her sister, but he won't respond. She threatens to sever Linda's ear and stabs him in the leg before starting to waterboard him. Bobby, who was uncooperative, drowns to death.

When Kaylee questions Linda, she discovers that Willie owns a railroad yard where he plans to deliver the following "batch" of kidnapped girls. Kaylee only has Bobby's gun when she gets to the railway yard. One of Willie's truck drivers informs her that the girls are in a neighboring warehouse under threat of being shot. When the previous procurer notices her, she locates them and instructs them to flee. Kaylee shoots him multiple times as he flees. He tries to apologize and plead instead of answering her questions. In order to let the procurer bleed to death, Kaylee walks away. Kaylee admits that Linda and Junior were kept secret in her car. She gives Linda the order to take Willie, who resides in a mansion, home.

Debra, Willie's wife, welcomes Linda inside the home and informs her that Willie is in the library. She says that if Bobby acted aggressively, Linda would frequently drop by. While in the restroom, Linda phones 9-1-1 and then messages Kaylee with the correct location of Willie. With a rifle drawn, Kaylee commands Willie and inquires about Weeta. Willie is inadvertently shot in the face by Debra when she storms the room with a gun. Debra is killed by Kaylee's gunfire and Debra retaliates by shooting Kaylee in the stomach. Kaylee imagines what her life would have been like if she had been successful in her last moments as she sees herself competing in her comeback boxing battle.
