"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is a 1966 Italian epic spaghetti western film directed by Sergio Leone, starring Clint Eastwood as "The Good", Lee Van Cleef as "The Bad", and Eli Wallach as "The Ugly".

This is the story of Vincenzo and Leone. Also Age & Scarpelli and Luciano Vincenzoni wrote the screenplay with Sergio Leone. The film's widescreen cinematography was handled by cinematographer Donino Delli Goli, and the film's music, including the main theme score, was composed by Ennio Morricone.

It is an Italian-led production with co-producers in Spain, West Germany and the United States. Most of the filming took place in Spain. The film is known for violence, tension and highly stylized gunshots, along with Leone long shots and close-ups. Leone and Clint Eastwood's third joint film, the second with Lee Van Cleef.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is the third and final installment in the 'Dollars' trilogy, 'A Fistful of Dollars' and 'Four A Few Dollars More'. The film was a financial success, grossing $38 million at the worldwide box office, and is credited with catapulting Eastwood to stardom.
