Movie Review

“I came by”, is a british crime thriller, written, co-produced and directed by british-iranian filmmaker Babak Anvari. Movie starring George MacKay, percelle ascott, Kelly macdonald and hugh Bonneville.

Toby Neely is a politically minded, 23-year-old graffiti artist who breaks into the homes of upper-class people and puts the message "I Came By" on the walls. His latest target is retired judge Hector Blake. Although the judge seems socially progressive, Toby believes he is a hypocrite. When Toby breaks into Blake's house, he finds a pottery factory and a man held captive in the basement.

Toby tries to tell his friend and ex-partner Jay about what he found. However, Jay is distracted by personal issues with his pregnant girlfriend Nas. Toby anonymously calls the police, but they find nothing at Blake's house.

Toby's widowed mother, Lizzie, is increasingly concerned about her son's lack of direction. She kicks him out of the house when she and Toby fight. Toby returns to Blake's residence to free the prisoner, but Blake kills Toby with a cricket bat. He then cremates Toby's body in his studio furnace and flushes the ashes down the toilet.
